Launching Notably News

The internet has made it easier than ever to stay informed—but it's also made it harder than ever to focus. News today is an endless cycle of notifications, breaking updates, and opinion masquerading as fact.

What if staying informed didn't have to mean wading through all that noise?

That's why we built Notably News.

A Different Kind of News Service

Instead of daily email blasts, Notably News delivers only the most important updates on topics and people you care about. You won't get a notification every time Tom Hanks gives an interview or Keira Knightley walks a red carpet. But if Hanks decides to retire, or Knightley takes on a groundbreaking new role, you'll get a concise, neutral update to your inbox.

No clickbait. No speculation. Just the essentials, only when it matters.

Why Now?

We tried to build something like this a decade ago, using earlier text summarization techniques. The idea was sound, but the technology wasn't ready. Now, thanks to advances in AI, it's finally possible to curate truly useful, brief updates. This isn't without risks, but we're working on that.

Giving Back to the Information Ecosystem

This project owes a huge debt to Wikipedia's volunteer editors. Their work is often the foundation for understanding major events with clarity and accuracy. We're working on ways to support them—because if this project succeeds, it should also give back to the people who make high-quality, structured information possible.

Try It Out

If you're tired of sifting through endless news feeds but still want to stay informed, give Notably News a try. It's free, and you'll only hear from us when it matters.
