February 13 2023 ABC reverted the programming change, moving ABC Kids' closedown back to 7:30pm.
January 1 2023 ABC Kids lost an hour of programming, with closedown and transition to ABC TV Plus moved to 6:30pm, a decision criticized by parents.
March 17 2020 The channel received a new logo and look, introducing three animated characters (an apple, a bee, and a crocodile named Croc) based on the classic logo. The rebrand was designed by ABC Made, the ABC's in-house creative team.
December 4 2017 As part of the ABC Comedy rebrand, the channel's broadcasting was rescheduled to end at 7:30pm instead of 7pm.
March 2 2015 The channel was renamed to ABC Kids and a new logo inspired by the classic children's logo was unveiled.
2014 All children's programming was removed from the main ABC channel and divided between ABC 4 Kids and ABC3.
July 7 2014 Broadcasting of the channel was rescheduled to begin at 5am instead of 6am.
May 2011 ABC for Kids on 2 rebranded as ABC 4 Kids, becoming a part-time channel for preschoolers sharing bandwidth with ABC2 between 6am and 7pm. A new logo based on the ABC3 logo was introduced.
