Molyneux's problem
A research experiment was conducted on chickens to investigate visual recognition, where chicks were reared in total darkness, exposed to textured objects by touch, and then tested on visual recognition upon first experiencing light. The experiment revealed that chicks who touched smooth objects were more likely to approach smooth objects visually, demonstrating a potential connection between tactile and visual perception.
