September 24 2024 Arrow Video released a limited edition 4K Blu-ray featuring 4K remasters of both theatrical and extended cuts.
October 13 2020 The film was re-released in Shout! Factory's 'Special Edition' collection.
September 13 2013 The film was re-released as part of Friday the 13th: The Complete Collection box set.
June 2013 Warner Bros. transferred their film rights to the Friday the 13th franchise to Paramount Pictures. In the same month, Derek Mears (who played Jason Voorhees in the 2009 film) revealed that Paramount was collaborating with Platinum Dunes to potentially produce a sequel.
