A strong EF2 tornado struck Arabi around 4:00 p.m. CDT, nine months after the previous tornado. The tornado caused severe structural damage to homes, downed trees and power lines, and completely destroyed the same brewery that was demolished in the March tornado. Six people were injured, but no fatalities occurred.

An intense EF3 tornado struck Arabi after 7:30 p.m. CDT, causing widespread destruction along Friscoville Avenue, St. Bernard Highway, and Judge Perez Drive. The tornado damaged Arabi Elementary School, destroyed a brewery and a church, and resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries. Large metal transmission towers were severely damaged, leaving Arabi without power for days.
