June 24 2021 A historically significant IF4 tornado struck the Břeclav and Hodonín districts in the South Moravian Region, becoming the most powerful tornado in modern Czech history. The tornado killed at least 6 people, injured over 200, and caused extensive damage estimated at over 15 billion CZK. It tracked 27.1 kilometers with a maximum width of 2.8 kilometers, damaging 1,202 buildings, with 180 requiring complete or partial demolition.
